Random Fact Del Día

In our school's history, the only team events in which teams from our school have won nationally are chess and physics. The largest trophy our school is possession of (to my knowledge) is from 1st place in the national chess tournament in 1989.

We may not have actually won in this, but Wilson's jazz band was about 2nd in the nation in abot 1990-1, somewhere around there. We were once the "Green Machine," something to be feared. Of course, now our band program takes up 1 1/2 periods, and our teacher is a, uhh, well, rather lacking. Just look at what budget cuts and faculty changes can do to a school.

Of course, being 1st at *anything* nationally is really, really, really good. So don't be complaining that we've never been 1st at football or something.

And just how big is that trophy, anyways?
