CIM and Newspaper
You know, I'm going to write another editorial for the Oregonian. Forgive me for saying so, but I am soooo damn sick of the incessant standardized testing. In English alone we will have lost the equivalent of 5 days this year to CIM. The test is the most poorly designed piece of tripe I have ever taken. After doing about 40 questions, there are at least 2 that either have no answer or multiple answers. Reading test continues tomorrow... science test starts tomorrow. Ah, now I've made myself angry: an editorial it is.

Adam, just because you don't get the answer doesn't mean there is no answer.
ditto.
What were the questions?
There was a question on thermals that had 2 answers, and one other on reading this chart that also had 2 answers. My original statement was false; I can't remember any that had no correct answer.
we only waste 2 days doing cim
Is being babysat (word?) by teachers that much better than taking the CIM?
Yes, but Adam, choose the BEST answer...
;)
I don't know about you Ted, but we actually do things in our English class. And yes, we waste about 5 days of class because the multiple choice test took 1 regular day plus 1 block day, and the writing test took about the same (somewhere between 5 and 6 days equivalent). Therefore, CIM takes about 5 days from your English class during this year.
Let's co-write the editorial!
Or if you refuse my generous offer, I'll be forced to write my own, in which case it will simply be a battle of writing skill, and we all know who'd win that.
I agree, let's! Because for your sake, I really would feel a little guilty doing that writing competition. But anyway, just kidding. Let's do it. When and where should we start?
How about after school some time? I go to ODS next week, so let's try and at least start it before then.
