Cheers
My AP grade report came today. I got a 5 on the US History test (tests graded from 1-5). It was better than I had predicted. I felt that I was squarely in the middle of 4 territory. I'm not complaining.
Congratulations to everyone who didn't waste their parents' $88+ by passing their APs. And double congratulations to everyone who contributed to the congenial atmosphere of academic arse-whooping by scoring 5s on them.

Congrats man, *high FIVE*. I got one too, and like you, I thought it was going to be a 4 or less (in fact if it was a 4 I would have been happy) but was pleasantly surprised.
Hope you're having a good summer. From my banana popsicle: Where do plants play football? In the Ivy League!
I seem to get the feeling that had you gotten a four you would have been a bit unhappy. =]
Woe is me, what can I say, I don't like AP tests much, how boring, you just sit there being drilled by a piece of paper for a few hours. Sounds like exactly the sort of evening I want to spend. At least consider this, do pieces of paper have the right to ask things of you? I don't think so...
Paper certainly has no such right, and yet it does all the same. I can say for a fact that there is no such right specified in the constitution of the united states. Being the strict constructionist that I am, I don't believe that the elastic clause should encompass the instance of the rights of paper. : ) Nice job Fritz!
Oh, and spoonman: anything less than perfect is always disappointing. I would have been quite happy with a 4, but disappointed nonetheless. Anything less than perfect means that one can always do better. Almost ironically however, it would be even more disappointing to be totally perfect all of the time; there would be nothing by which to be disappointed and nothing to motivated. Even more ironically, without the motivation of imperfection, one would inevitably become imperfect anyway. Kind of circular... but enough pseudophilosophical banter.
Why are you a strict constructionist? The constitution is an inherently flawed document.
Just came upon this reading Penny Arcade, everyone here should get some amusement from it:

That sent me rolling for a good half hour. Still funny now.
Enjoy.
I was kidding Ted. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my sarcasm. You're right, the constitution is inherently flawed.
By the way Adam, check out meformayor.com. It's Phil Busse's campaign site, he's the dude who finished a distant third (But he was the guy I would have voted for).
I'd like to know what you think of the new slogan.
Congrats, bud.
I arrived home from Yellowstone to the pleasant surprise of a 5. Of course, I thought the AP was rather easy, so I figured I'd get it. But my sister, on the other hand, was expecting a low 3, and got a 5. I think it's easier to beat that test than previously imagined.
