What's so great is when Nietzsche blatantly states in Zarathustra: God is dead.

God was never bleeding alive, so he can't really die then can he. Anyways, I think by far some of the best quotes are:

"Some people's mind's are like cement, all mixed up and permanently set." - Andrew Welch

"Life is too important to be taken seriously." - John Lennon

"The mark of an educated man is the ability to entertain a thought, without accepting it." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Technology, sufficiently advanced, is indistinguishable from magic." - Arthur C. Clarke

And just for kicks.

"the antichrist will be elected by fax machine." - I forget

and

"Compilers - The Ultimate God Game" = Kidglove

It's really quite absurd.

Does anyone know what 1 + 1 equals??

Evil Spoonman said:

Last I checked it was 2... but then again, last I checked was a couple of years back, haven't had to think about it since.

Me said:

fuck you adam, for not coming to leadership camp. it was awesome and you missed out and now you're going to be a horrible class president. so take that.

Adam Anderson said:

I don't think that leadership camp is conducive to "surpassing humanity."

Ted, 1 + 1 is arbitrarily defined to equal 2 according certain laws created by humans. It's pure abstraction but it serves as the basis of much more complicated and important abstraction.

Me said:

1 + 1 = 2 is arbitrary?! Pure abstraction?! It represents a fundamental view of the world and progress as a civilization. Please explain yourself. Anyway, how did you get 1 + 1 = 2? Does 1 + 1 always equal 2? I admit it occasionally does.
