Outgeeking the Geeky

| | Comments (6)

Maintaining a blog is a fairly geeky endeavor. Maintaining a blog that talks about geekiness is even more geeky of an endeavor. But it may get even geekier than that in the near future. It just so happens that a number of speech tournaments overlap with our physics/calculus study groups, so we have decided to cancel neither, but have our study groups at speech tournaments. Part of the ritual will be to compete and see who can be the geekiest on the team (or in the tournament). Of course, we will, hands down, win, but that's the whole point. If Ted joins the team, there may be some competition, but no matter what, we will have a sacred celebration of mathematics, physics, and enviable eccentricity. So break out your HP calculators, and give all 18 decimal places of accuracy for a change.

Ted is a fool. Not a geek. He didn't even score better than Adam on the High Five test (For those of you who don't know, that is an insult).

Today, I made a startling revelation. I am better than Colin at figuring stuff out. Colin is better than me at remembering stuff.

At least Adam didn't score more than me.

Correction: Colin is better than me at remembering boring stuff.

Wilson is gonna rock. With Colin and Adam, it's no contest.
oh and the Ted thing, all he has is a reputation of being a nerd, not a geek. geeks are smart! nerds just like all the stuff in the great world of Nerdom!

Except for the fact that Ted really is smart. And I do think that's a correct observation, Ted: in most cases, you're better at figuring things out, I'm better at remembering facts (although this doesn't hold true for everything).

Colin is also smart. However, he isn't as funny as me. Hahahhahahahaha.
